  1. Delivered the class for Masters Students in University of Shanghai, China, on May 15, 2016. The session on specific aspects of interest rates, loans and how these could be calculated using MS-Excel.
  2. Delivered an invited talk during the inaugural session at 5th International Conference on Global Business, Economics, Finance and Social Sciences organised by J.A. Alpha Business Research & Publishers Pvt. Ltd (UAE) and SDMIMD held at Chennai during April 1-2, 2016. He was also a panellist for a panel discussion.

  1. Review a Paper entitled “Using data envelopment analysis to evaluate the performances of food Production companies based on EFQM's criteria and to present an improvement plan", submitted for the International Journal of Business Excellence (IJBEX).
  2. Was invited to be the reviewer for "Journal of Management Development" published by Emerald Publishing. 
  3. Was a jury for the annual quality competition organized by M/s Rane Madras, Mysore, to decide the best projects done by (1) Quality Improvement Teams, and (2) Quality Control Circles. Six teams participated in each category and demonstrated quality improvement using 7 Step Quality Improvement Process.
  4. Acted as an examiner to evaluate the Ph.D. thesis related to the work done on quality initiatives and awards, and submitted to Visveswaraya Technological University, (VTU), Karnataka.
  5. Benchmarking is a time tested and well proven methodology for improving the quality of any quality characteristic, as exemplified by many industries worldwide, said Dr. Jagadeesh on 1st July 2016,  while delivering the invited lecture at the One Week Faculty Development Program on Total Quality Management Practices in Power Sector, organized by the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, P.E.S. College of Engineering, Mandya, Karnataka, under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Program.

  2. Included as a panel member of PhD.D thesis external examiners for VTU , Karnataka for one of the PhD candidate's thesis evaluation.
  3. Invited by International Journal of Sociology and Anthropology( IJSA) to become a reviewer for their journal. IJSA is part of the academic journals group based in Mauritius and Nigeria and publish 111 journals.

The FDP was organized under "Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching" and sponsored by MHRD. Faculty members from several universities across India attended the FDP. He handled session on Deployment and Administration of Moodle for e-Learning.

The four-day event between December 8 and 11 was attended by more than one hundred Lecturers in Economics from Mangalore and Kodagu districts. 
  4. The paper ‘Impact of central explicit subsidies on fiscal deficit in India: an empirical study’ by Dr. B. Venkatraja, Professor – Economics, SDMIMD, has won the Best Paper Award at 5th International conference on Global Business, Economics, Finance and Social Sciences on the them ‘Global Business, Economics & Sustainability’ held during April 1 to 3, 2016 at Chennai.
