Invited talk by Mr. Nagi Rao, Founder EqualizeRCM

Mr. Nagi Rao, Founder, Chairman, Austin, TX; and Founder, Chairman of EqualizeRCM Services; delivered an invited talk to the PGDM 2017-19 Batch on October 12, 2018 at SDMIMD.

Mr. Nagi Rao spoke on how healthcare management has involved over the years. Mr. Rao stressed on how RCM is used as a corporate-level maintenance strategy to optimize the maintenance program of a company or facility. His highly interesting talk evoked a number of questions from the audience and on the whole the session was highly interesting and instructive

SDMite won the Paper Presentation Competition

Mr. Nandan C. Jog of PGDM 2017-19, has emerged as Winner in the Paper Presentation competition held at St. Aloysius Institute of Management & Information Technology, Beeri, Mangaluru, held on October 10, 2018. Mr. Nandan has authored the paper on Native Advertisement in Marketing. Dr. Lodo SJ, Director, AIMIT and Dr. Rowena Wright, Dean (Academics) and Faculty Coordinator Mr. Royce Barello, gave away the citation and cash prize of Rs. 10,000 to the winner.

Swayam E-Cell Talk by Mr. S. Parthasarathy

Mr. S. Parthasarathy, Founder & Director of Aedion Infotech Pvt Ltd; Head, Alumni Relations @ IIMB; and author of the book "Unmet Needs of Entrepreneurship" was the invited speaker for the Swayam E-Cell Talk organized on October 10, 2018. Mr. Vijay Krishnamurthy, Founder, Groundstrokes, was the special invitee to share his entrepreneurial experience in Sports Academy.

Mr. Parthasarathy focused his talk on the financial, legal and managerial aspects in starting the business and aspects involved in having a business model for execution. Mr. Parthasarathy explained the feasibility of an idea and it's analysis taking the examples from his life.

SDMite Stood Runner Up in Sankalp 2018

In the management fest - Sankalp 2018 organized by the National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Hyderabad, Mr. Nandan C. Jog of PGDM 2017-19, stood Runner Up in the Best Manager and Marketing Event category. The event was organized MBA colleges in India during October 3 & 4, 2018 at NAARM, Hyderabad.

Prerana Alumni Lecture Series - Mr. Suraj Shetty

Mr. Suraj Shetty, Vice President - Strategy, Primesoft; and alumnus of PGDM 2003-05 batch, was on campus to deliver a harangue on the topic 'IT Services Marketing' for the 2nd Year PGDM Students. With his rich experience of more than 10 years in the IT Service industry, Mr. Suraj explained the different types of IT services a company can offer. Mr. Suraj stressed the importance of cloud in the IT industry and the use of email marketing. The session had a detailed discussion on how to convert potential customers in B2B marketing.

Prerana Alumni Lecture Series - Mr. Devansh Joshi

Mr. Devansh Joshi, Senior Manager – Planning & Strategy, Medlife, an alumnus of PGDM 2009-11 Batch, delivered talk on “Start-Ups - Eco-System & Strategy” on Saturday, October 6, 2018. Mr. Joshi threw light on favourable customer centric policies adopted by various companies such as Amazon, Flipkart etc. Further, the speaker talked about pull strategies such as deep discounts, brand building and gaining trust, introducing private label products such as high margins, controlled inventory, and increase in profitability. The discussion on the business models of Swiggy and Medilife; and, the importance of customer acquisition cost, average invoice value, private label margin, LTV, etc. The talk was organized as an apart of Prerana Alumni Lecture Series.
