Invited Talk by Mr Gururaja

Mr K.S. Gururaja, Founder Trustee - Ashakirana Charitable Trust; and Chairman - N G Foundation; Chairman - NG Sportive Technologies Pvt Ltd, delivered an invited talk on Motivation For Young Minds to the PGDM Batch 2021-2023 on August 7, 2021. The talk has been organized as a part of the Orientation Program 2021. 

Invited Talk by Mr Giridhar Kannan

Mr Giridhar Kannan, Manager, Group Audit, Financial Crime, Compliance and Conduct at Westpac Banking Corporation, Sydney, Australia, delivered an invited talk on What Corporates Expect from MBA?.  Mr Giridhar was invited to address the new batch of the PGDM program during the Orientation Program held on August 6, 2021.

Invited Talk by Alumnus Mr Vipin Prasad

Mr Vipin S Prasad, SDMIMD Alumnus & CEO, Joining the Dots, delivered a talk on Introduction to E-Commerce, Opportunities & Challenges to the young managers of the PGDM 2021-2023 during the talk organized as a part of the Orientation Program for PGDM 2021-23 held on August 6, 2021.

BCIC-SDMIMD Orientation Lecture

The Centre for Excellence in Management (CEM) the initiative of Bangalore Chambers of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) and SDMIMD, organized invited talks as part of the Orientation Program 2021 on August 6, 2021. The program commenced with the welcome address and presentation of the activity plan of the Center for Excellence in Management by Dr N.R. Parasuraman, Director, SDMIMD. The PGDM Batch 2021-2023 had an opportunity to listen to 3 motivational speakers 
 
The President of BCIC Mr T.R. Parasuraman, (President and Whole Time Director, Toyota Industries Engine India Pvt. Ltd)., addressed the PGDM 2021-2023 Batch on the topic 'Modern trends in managerial education and student focus'. Mr Pavan Ranga, Director of N Ranga Rao & Sons; and CEO of Rangasons Electronics; spoke on the topic 'Collaboration between industry & academics - a perspective'. This was followed by a focused talk by Shri. K R Sekar, Senior Vice President, BCIC and Partner deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP.
 
Dr Sunil M.V., Head - Academic Administration, SDMIMD, moderated the lecture program and presented the vote of thanks. Faculty members, staff and the PGDM 2021-2023 Batch participated in the program. 

Introducing 'Prerana' by Mr Niranjan Naik

Mr Niranjan N Naik, President, Prerana – SDMIMD Alumni Association & Senior Consultant at Prominent Mind, introduced Prerana – SDMIMD Alumni Association to the New Batch of PGDM Program. The talk introduced the activities, support and network of Prerana to the students on campus. The interactive session was organized as a part of the Orientation Program for PGDM 2021-23, held on August 5, 2021.

Orientation Program for PGDM 2021-23

The customary Orientation Program  was organised on a virtual platform to welcome and introduce the different dimensions of management for the new batch of the PGDM Program  (2021-23).  The series was inaugurated by the Director of SDMIMD Dr N.R. Parasuraman on August 5, 2021. Prof. L. Gandhi, Chairman - Admission, welcomed the batch and introduced the PGDM Batch 2021-2023 to the institute. Dr S.N. Prasad, Deputy Director, shared the key experiencial  features  of SDMIMD in a talk titled 'LIFE @ SDMIMD'. This was followed by the introduction to academic administration, IT services, e-Learning services and other technology services for the teaching-learning process; by the respective Section Heads. Prof. Gandhi presented the vote of thanks. 

SDMIMD Welcomes PGDM 2020-2022 Students with Orientation Program

Dr. N.R. Parasuraman, Director, SDMIMD, welcomed the batch of PGDM 2020-2022 Batch. He shared the institute’s recent landmark rankings, vision, and mission of the Institute, and advised the students to get out of their comfort zone. Sri. Surendra Kumar, Vice-President, SDMIMD, congratulated the batch for getting into a B-School with international accreditation listed among the Top 100 B-Schools in the country.

Talk by Dr. Thandavamurthy on 'Vedic Healing'

Dr. Thandavamurthy delivered session on "Vedic Healing" on July 5, 2019, which introduced the new batch of PGDM Program on - how to stay focused, how to stay calm and achieve success, and how to avoid confusion. Dr. Thandavamurthy engaged the students with simple activities which were fun as well allowed learning in a new way. The students participated with full enthusiasm and even laughed heartily as they experienced a different way of learning. The speaker explained how it is possible to get misled due to a mismatch between what we see and how we respond. These learning are helpful to budding managers. Dr. Thandavamurthy also suggested some readings and practices to the students to improve their productivity and efficiency. The session was enjoyed by the students.
