Mr. Alwyn Miranda of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) won the “Chess Blaster” the corporate chess tournament organized by Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysore. The annual tournament conducted by the Student Sports Committee of the institute attracted participants from Accenture, ITC, TCS, SPI, JK Tyres, Robert Bosch, IBM, AIG and other companies.This annual event was started a few years ago in memory of late Smt. D. Rathnamma, mother of the Chairman Dr. Veerendra Heggade. Year after year the tournament has gained in stature and quality of participation.Mr. K.V. Shripad and Mr. Y.G. Vijayeendra were the arbiters for the tournament and announced the result. Mr. Alwyn Miranda from TCS won the first place, Mr. B.G. Poobesh from Accenture and Mr. B.R. Karthik from AIG stood second and third respectively. |
