"Organizations must follow not just the letter, but more importantly, the spirit of Law. It s not just the profitability that matters, rather, companies should work towards earning respectability among all stakeholders. Sending out fore warning about an impending business downturn and sharing all relevant information with the stakeholders are the true practices of companies characterized by 'Good Governance'. Remaining updated about the Laws of Land governing in respect of companies is the need of the hour for Company Secretaries". These were the thoughts shared by Mr S Nagarajan from Infosys Technologies Limited Mysore and Chairman, CII Mysore while delivering the Key note address at the inaugural function of 3 day workshop on Good Governance at Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development Mysore (SDMIMD). Earlier, Dr N.R. Parasuraman Director SDMIMD welcomed the gathering comprising of 100 company secretaries, students, and other invitees. Mr Ajay Madaiah Vice Chairman ICSI Mysore Chapter, rendered vote of thanks. Mr MC Bhansali Company Secretary and Dr H Gayathri Deputy Director SDM IMD Mysore were present on the occasion. |
