About the Conference

Theme: India - The Next Economic Miracle

With global investment banks cautiously optimistic about the much touted global recovery with the fear of an imminent recession not completely out of sight, India is perhaps the only exception among the BRIC economies poised for a resurgent growth.

Even at 7-7.5% growth rate, India remains the fastest growing economy in the world with the Indian Capital Markets remaining at the helm of international investing activity.

A slew of measures led by the Government of India reinvigorating the moribund capital investment cycle provide the right recipes towards placing the Indian growth story firmly on the global platform. The right policy notes emanating from the Centre have been matched impeccably by the RBI having reciprocated by undertaking calibrated rate cuts and further opening up of banking sector by issuing universal bank licences and spearheading the movement of inclusive growth by issuing Small Finance Banking (SFBs) licences to micro finance institutions. Premier Institutional bodies including the World Bank and IMF have hailed RBI’s innovation for launching SFBs. The phenomena led by SFBs’ along with payment banks and the existence of a robust banking infrastructure are expected to turn the financial pivot firmly in India’s favour.
