Call for Papers

The business world currently is characterized by many challenges due to a variety of changes driven by factors, such as, technological, economic, socio-political, and so on. The impact of the changes is felt simultaneously in many parts of the interconnected globalized environment. At the heart of this change process, lies the challenge of understanding, and managing the parameters of change management. The levers for managing the change process are driven by the key functionaries and employees of any organization. Human resource management, thus today, is confronted with core issues of managing the change in the business processes and aligning the organizations’ systems, structures, and policies to leverage competitiveness with regard to the operating busines environment. This strategic aspect of human resource management brings to the foreground many issues and prospects, which need to be understood, debated, and deliberated upon, in order to find new solutions to unique problems, currently challenging the corporate world.

Keeping the above in mind, SDMIMD is organizing its 2nd International Conference on Managing Human Resources at the Workplace, on 13 and 14 December 2013, at SDMIMD campus, Mysore. This conference seeks to provide a platform to address and deliberate on the various issues and concerns in field of human resource management. Publication:

Selected abstracts/papers will be published in the Conference Proceeding CD with ISBN Code 978-81-922146-5-8. At least one author needs to register for the conference to get considered for publication of the abstract/paper. Papers accepted for presentation in the conference will also be considered, through further blind reviewing process, for publication in the refereed journal of the Institute—SDMIMD Journal of Management.
