Pre-conference Workshop – 9 November 2017

Inclusive Sustainable Growth: Challenges of Change

Background

The global economic order is known for dynamism. New jobs are constantly created, new firms replace old, and the countries adopt new economic models. Thanks to modern growth models, many countries have achieved robust economic progress in short duration. Yet economy’s unceasing and turbulent change creates enormous angst about the loss of jobs, the loss of earnings, and the loss of competitiveness. Under this pretext the workshop would deliberate on the issues of sustaining the growth and bringing all stakeholders into the growth ambit.

Objective

The main objective of the workshop is to introduce conference theme to the participants. As ‘sustainability’ gains significance in every sphere of life – may it be in social, economic, business or environmental. Sustainability demands intensive research at micro and macro level.
