Mr. Lionel Aranha, Chartered Accountant & Solicitor, conducted a special session on GST for the I year students. He started the talk by making the students understand what exactly GST is and how does it function and also told about the countries that follow GST. He also explained about how GST differs from VAT and the implications of GST in Indian context. Mr. Aranha explained how to go with this system, its advantages and disadvantages, to the future managers. He also told how wrongly the GST is being implemented and who are the people who are manipulating the system and using it to their advantage. So, the different dimension of GST and how it is going to replace the existing various tax systems in our economy were shown. |
