NSE Certified Capital Markets Professional (NCCMP) Program

The NSE Certified Capital Markets Professional (NCCMP) Program is run by the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in collaboration with Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysore. The program spread over a duration of one year endeavours to inculcate practical aspects of Capital Markets, preparing the participants for exciting roles in the field of Equity Research, Merchant Banking, Portfolio Advisory, and allied areas. The program has an eclectic mix of theoretical and hands-on sessions exposing participants to all the essential areas of study. The program is enriched with an on-site visit to NSE where the participants learn about the operational and strategic aspects involved in trading in securities markets. Faculty Development Program

With a view to hone teaching skills and keep pace with changing trends in management education, SDMIMD started off with Faculty Development Program on May 10, 2012. The week long program scheduled from May 10 to 16 2012, attracted Faculty Members from number of Colleges within the State of Karnataka. Dr N.R. Parasuraman Director SDMIMD, while speaking on the occasion of inauguration said – “in order to keep up the learning interests of the students, faculty members need to continuously exercise innovations in teaching and demonstrate contemporary business cases. Students must get acquainted with analyzing techniques”.

Certificate Program in Business Management (CPBM)

Globalization has created new paradigms in the business environment. Business organizations are facing intense competition in the external environment in which they operate in terms of price, product and service.  At the same time, the internal environment also needs to be made effective and efficient by implementing appropriate management tools and techniques.  Managers need to continuously sharpen their knowledge and skills to enable them to cope with the fast changing business environment.

The Certificate Program in Business Management (CPBM) is intended to be an abridged Executive version of the Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDM) offered by SDM IMD. This program is designed by the SDM IMD faculty, specifically to cater to the requirements of working executives. The pedagogy is interactive and application oriented to encourage participatory learning. Rich teaching and industry experience of the faculty matched with excellent infrastructure provide for a wonderful learning experience on the SDM IMD campus. The course aims at imparting cutting-edge knowledge in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Systems, Human Resources Management and Operation

SDM IMD offers a two year, full time, residential Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program. The PGDM program is designed and structured to enable students to adapt to the changing requirements, challenges and opportunities of the global business scenario. It provides students with a strong theoretical and conceptual base.

The course is compiled from current industry practices and probing business case studies. The faculty has a wide knowledge base and rich teaching experience and this matched with Institute facilities of international standards, constitute the cutting edge advantage. The overall objective is to have high degree of academic rigour that is practiced to ensure that each student is driven from within to think and behave as a leader.

In their second year, students can opt to specialize in the areas of Marketing, Systems, Finance, Operations, or Human Resource Management. Students have the option of dual specialization. Students can also decide to be a generalist and not specialize in any area and instead opt for courses from various streams to make up the required minimum of 34 credits.

The PGDM program is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India vide their approval letter F.No. South-West/1-3327067641/2017/EOA. dt. 30 March 2017. The PGDM is considered as equivalent to MBA degree by GOI letter No. F. No. Eqvi./AB/Gen.Corr.(107)/2009-10 dated 05-06-2009.

This program has also been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) vide their letter F.No. 25-10/2010/NBA dt. 07.12.2015 for a period of two years with effect from 13-12-2015.
