100% Placements for PGDM 2018-20 Batch
Yet another year, SDMIMD has recorded 100 percent placement. With three more months to go for the completion of the program, all eligible students have been placed with the highest salary of Rs.9.5 lakhs, mean salary of Rs.7.7 lakhs and median salary of Rs. 7 lakhs. The students have been placed in varied roles such as Management Trainee, Consultant, Business Analyst, Credit, Vigilance, Branch Banking, Market Research Analyst, Area Manager, HR etc. It has been a stupendous performance thus far by our students, wherein the Institute has seen marquee companies visiting the campus and vying for our talents.

Impact of SDMIMD studied by BSIS Team
Business School Impact System (BSIS) popularly known as the first comprehensive impact assessment tool for business schools visited SDMIMD on December 9 & 10, 2019. The team comprising of Dr. Michel Kalika, Director, BSIS and Professor of Management at IAE Lyon School of Management, France; and, Dr. H. Chaturvedi, Director and Professor, Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTech) evaluated the impact of activities, strategies and services on the community served by SDMIMD, in specific and on the Society at large.

Pre-Conference Workshop on HR Metrics & Analytics
A pre-conference workshop on the ‘HR Metrics and Analytics’ was organized as part of the 8th International Conference on ‘Managing Human Resources at the Workplace’ on December 5, 2019 at the Campus.

The session on ‘HR Metrics’ was delivered by Dr. Ashly H. Pinnington, Dean of Research, The British University in Dubai; followed by session by SDMIMD faculty members Prof. M. Minhaj on ‘Data analytics in HRM’ and Dr. Srilakshminarayana delivered session on ‘Statistical tools for HR Analytics’. Read More>
MoU signed by ATI and SDMIMD
SDMIMD and The Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Mysuru, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday, December 9, 2019.

The MoU has been made to design, develop, and conduct training and capacity building programmes on development of Infrastructure, Public-Private Partnership (PPP)s, Project Financing and best international/domestic practices used in the implementation of projects or any other programs. Further, the MoU has opened avenues for joint research publication, case studies, and articles in the above areas of collaboration by the faculty members and trainers from the institutes. Read More>

  • Dr. M. Sriram was invited to deliver a lecture on 'Investment Instruments' as part of a workshop on 'Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management' for U.G Management teachers held at MMK&SDM MMV College Mysuru on December 18, 2019.
  • Dr. M. Sriram was invited for curriculum review of finance courses and central valuation at Department of Management Studies, Central University of Kerala,Kasaragod on December 13-14, 2019.
  • Dr. Jayakrishnan S reviewed the paper titled "Study the significance of marketing research theories and its input to ongoing business education", submitted to the Rajagiri Management Journal published by Emerald.

2-Day Workshop on HR for SDMites by

Dr. Ashly H. Pinnington, Dean of Research, Professor and Faculty of Business & Law, The British University in Dubai (BUiD), Dubai, conducted 2-Day Workshop focused on the Analytics and Metrics for HRM and Employee Well-being for HR Specialization students of the PGDM Batch 2018-20. The workshop which included activities and discussions was well received by the Young Managers.
KPMG Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) Certification Program
Lean Six Sigma is a function agnostic useful tool for every business executive across functions. The 32-hours KPMG's LSSGB Training and Certification Program spread over 4-days was organized for PGDM 2018-20 Batch Operations Specialization students during November-December 2019. The program covered DMAIC methodology and framework of problem-solving techniques using Lean and Six Sigma tools.

The program was conducted in a Workshop mode which involved theory and application of tools and techniques in a simulated environment. It has imparted structured problem-solving skills to the participants and given them an edge over others by making them business-ready.
Blood Donation Camp 2019
"The blood you donate gives someone another chance at life" thus said Mr C.V. Sridhar, Manager Administration, SDMIMD, inaugurating the Blood Donation Camp 2019. In his address said 'SDMites are always seen coming forward with great enthusiasm, to address social issues whenever situations call for the same'. The event was a reinforcement of the principles for which SDMIMD stands and the social responsibility attitude demonstrated by the students. The camp was organized by SDMIMD in collaboration with HDFC Bank with the medical support from Jeevadhara Blood Bank, a unit of Cauvery Social Services Trust, Mysore. Faculty, Staff members and students participated in the camp.
