On March 8, 2021 SDMIMD organized a virtual panel discussion on “Women in Leadership”. Dr. Neetu Ganapathy, the moderator for the session, welcomed the gathering and emphasized how the pandemic had highlighted the central role that women play in society and the disproportionate burden that they bear. The Director, Dr. N. R. Parasuraman, mentioned the efforts taken at SDMIMD to encourage girl students which includes making a conscious attempt to admit more girl students each year in addition to providing them with scholarships. Mr. Rahul Raj of PGDM 2020-2022 presented the idea at the National Social Summit on the theme of 'Social Entrepreneurship Competition' organized by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Roorkee. The idea presented by Mr. Rahul Raj was selected as one of the Best Top 4 Ideas in the Competition. Telangana State Government has recognized the Idea of Mr. Rahul and granted 1.6 Lakhs to build prototypes. |

SDMite participates in India-Zimbabwe Cultural Confluence
Mr. Sai Sri Harsha of PGDM 2020-2022, was selected by the Confederation of Young Leaders (CYL) to participate in the India – Zimbabwe Cultural Confluence. During the Confluence, Mr. Harsha interacted with H.E Dr. G. M. Chipare, Ambassador of Zimbabwe to India, and discussed India - Zimbabwe relations trade, culture, and strong cordial relations.
SDMite selected by CYL for India-Malta Cultural Confluence
Confederation of Young Leaders (CYL) with the rigorous process selected Mr. Sai Sri Harsha of PGDM 2020-2022 to participate in the India – Malta Cultural Confluence, and to interact with H.E. Mr. Reuben Gauci, High Commissioner of the Republic of Malta. Mr. Harsha discussed the Diplomatic relations & trade activities between India and the Republic of Malta; India’s Support to Malta in getting independence from Britishers; and, promoting tourist attractions in India.

Ms. Chaithanya Janardhanan Kalikkote of PGDM 2020-2022 participated in FINOMENA 2020 the annual management fest organized by Sri University, Cuttak, and won the 1st Prize.

Ms. Sanjana Vijaykumar and Ms. Seetalakshmi Satish Hegde of PGDM 2020-2021 participated in HRMind 2020 - online HR Quiz, organized by B.K. School of Professional and Management Studies, Gujarat University, held on September 27, 2020. The SDMites team secured the first position, among 341 participants including participants from IIMs and other top B-Schools. |
