| SDMIMD MoU with TT Skill Development & Logistics |

SDMIMD and TT Skill (Member of TT Group, Chennai), have officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on March 7, 2024. This collaboration aims to conduct training and certification programs for students and executives at SDMIMD, leveraging the expertise of SDMIMD faculty and senior practitioners, along with experts from the domain of supply chain logistics. | SDMIMD MoU with NSE Academy for NSMART |

SDMIMD entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NSE Academy to establish NSE Trading Lab in the Institute. The MoU was signed by Dr.S.N.Prasad, Director, SDMIMD and Dr.Abhilash Misra, CEO, NSE Academy,Mumbai. Mr. Ranganathan, Associate Vice President, NSE Academy, Dr.M.Sriram, Associate Professor-Finance and students of Finacle Club were present on the occasion. The trading lab will have the simulation software called ‘NSE SMART’ which provides a hands on experience to the students in trading in stocks and understand the functioning of stock markets. The students will have practical expsoure in both cash as well as the derivatives market. The students will be provided with virtual money which can be used for trading in securities without any risk. The expsoure to the simulation is expected to augment the learning of the students in investments and financial markets. |

Our institute wore a festive look on Friday, April 5, 2024, on the occasion of the 29th Annual Convocation. Students from the PGDM 2022-24 batch were awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) by our respected Chairman, Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade. Four students shared six gold medals for their best performance in Academics, Marketing, Finance, Human resources management, Systems, and Overall performance. These winners received the gold medals from the Chief Guest, Shri. Sanjay Koul, Chairman and Managing Director, Timken India Limited.

| FDP on Leveraging AI for Teaching and Research |

A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Leveraging AI for Teaching and Research” was successfully conducted on April 19, 2024, at SDMIMD, Mysore, in a hybrid mode. The program attracted academicians and research scholars from India and abroad, all actively participating in this hands-on FDP.
The faculty resource persons of SDMIMD, Dr. Sunil MV and Dr. Mamta Hegde, conducted various sessions during this one-day FDP, as mentioned below:
Session 1: AI in pedagogy and curriculum design.
Session 2: AI tools for enhancing student productivity.
Session 3: Ethical considerations in AI for education and research.
Session 4: Enhancing research reporting and publication through AI.
The FDP on “Leveraging AI for Teaching and Research” received high praise from all participants, who expressed their gratitude and provided positive feedback.

| RDP on “Regression Analysis in Social Science Research” |

The two-day Research Development Program on the theme Regression Analysis in Social Science Research” was held on March 22-23, 2024 at the SDMIMD campus. The program focused on various regression methods such as Multiple Linear Regression, Quantile Regression, Multivariate Multiple Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Probit Regression and Ordinal Regression. The hands-on sessions enabled participants to equip with essential research skills alongside understanding the fundamentals and their applications for meaningful research inferences. The program was attended by 40 participants who were Faculty and Research Scholars affiliated with several reputed institutions in South India. The Program was designed and delivered by SDMIMD Faculty members – Dr.B Venkatraja, Chairperson, SDM Research Centre for Management Studies, Dr. Srilakshminarayana G, Associate Professor-Quantitative Methods and Dr.M Sriram, Associate Professor-Finance.

| Workshop on Predictive AI and Analytics |

SDM IMD organized a workshop on the conceptual and technical elements of Artificial Intelligence and Analytics in Business. Though the workshop centered mainly on the development of predictive AI models for banking, stock trading, and other areas of finance, professionals from non-financial backgrounds also curiously attended. The workshop was held on March 7, 2024, in hybrid mode and consisted of academics and research scholars from Mumbai, Bangalore, and parts of Tamil Nadu.
Dr. SN Prasad, Director of SDMIMD, launched the event, underlining the importance of AI in business and finance. Dr. Nandakishore, the MDP Chairperson, supervised the event.

- Applying AI and analytics in finance.
- Developing predictive models for credit analytics, algorithm trading, and financial fraud detection.
