| Dharmasthala trip for PGCM 2021-22 Batch |

As a part of the PGCM Orientation Program to the PGCM 2021-22 students, a trip to Dharmasthala was organized on September 25 & 26, 2021. Students got the opportunity to see first-hand the numerous social activities in Dharmasthala and interact with the Chairman of SDMIMD and Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, Dr. D Veerendra Heggade. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had a lot of good things to say about the inspiration they received from meeting Dr. Heggade and being in the holy place. |

On September 25, 2021, SDMIMD and Prerana – SDMIMD Alumni Association organized an invtited talk by Mr. Feroze Azeez, PGDM Alumnus 2003-05 Batch; and Deputy CEO, Anand Rathi Private Wealth Management, Mumbai. Mr. Feroze gave insights on personal wealth management and elucidated the different products available in the current market. The online session was interactive and exciting, with the active participation by the alumni members and students on campus. |

| International Partners Research Conference 2021 |
SDMIMD is partnering with the University of Dundee School of Business to jointly organize the International Partners Research Conference 2021 on 29 November 2021. The focus of this conference is on issues related to socio-economic development and submissions from all disciplines related to this overarching theme are welcome. The conference’s aim is to encourage research collaborations across the participating institutions and between individual researchers.

Every year Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD) commemorates its Foundation Day through a lecture delivered by an eminent person. The commencement session of the AICTE recognized One-Year Full-time Post Graduate Certificate in Management (PGCM) Program for the Batch 2020-2021 was held on September 22, 2021. Director of SDMIMD Dr. N.R. Parasuraman addressed the students, emphasizing the imperative of students' involvement in academic activities, interaction with guests from industry, and being part of the students’ committees for holistic development to be ready for corporate entry after the program. Dr. Sunil MV, Head – Academic Administration, introduced the annual academic calendar of the program to the new batch. Earlier, Prof. L. Gandhi, Chairperson – Admissions, welcomed the new batch and the gathering. |
| Certificates to the Overseas Students of UoM |

A function to award certificates to successful candidates of the second edition of the Developing Business Excellence (DBE) program for overseas students was held in the SDMIMD campus recently.
Dr S.J. Manjunath, Co-ordinator of Third Sector Research Centre; Professor of Business Administration; and, Director, UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, University of Mysore, Mysore, expressed the view that learning from the DBE Program about the best practices concerning social responsibility and the business environment of any country will help expand the knowledge horizon. Such learning makes us connect to the contemporary world and relate to the research domain. | An interactive session about the journey of an entrepreneur was excellent learning for the PGCM Batch 21-22 on September 27, 2021. Mr. S.N. Rao, Chairman and Managing Director, Supreme Pharmaceuticals Mysore Pvt Ltd, was invited to share his entrepreneur journey and discuss the company's new initiatives with the batch. |
