During his illustrious career of over 30 years, Dr Sugant has held diverse responsibilities – as an entrepreneur, corporate leader and as an academic lead. 
 
On completion of his graduate degree in mechanical engineering and MBA in marketing, Dr Sugant started his career in sales and subsequently moved to handling logistics and commercial responsibilities in Wipro, where he spent over 7 years. Subsequent to his stint in Wipro, he went on to become an entrepreneur and launched a start-up in the area of technology training and retail aggregation. Post dot com bust, he moved to Jain University where he went onto lead the MBA program that was then affiliated to VTU. 
 
Prior to joining SDMIMD in 2014, Dr Sugant was with HCL for over 7 years in varied roles in Bangalore and Noida. In HCL, he was instrumental in setting and scaling up different business lines in their education vertical. When he left HCL, he was Business Head at HCL Learning, a Rs.600 million division of HCL Infosystems Ltd. 
 
As a Professor of marketing in SDMIMD, he handles international business, B2B marketing, marketing of services and marketing of high technology products – subjects on which he brings in considerable industry experience. 
 
As part of the faculty exchange programme of SDMIMD, Dr Sugant also teaches at Universidad de Montevideo, Uruguay, South America.
 
For the past two years, he is also leading the placements at the Institute as Chairman – Career Services. During these two years, the institution has reached its pinnacle in placements by achieving 100% placements.
 
Dr Sugant believes in the power of students and is of the firm view that once inspired, they can reach great heights. His avowed mission is to “inspire students to achieve”.

Dr. Venkatraja has a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Mangalore. He has a PhD in Economics awarded by the University of Mysore for his research work in the field of Third Sector. He has been in academics since 2004. He has the experience of teaching diverse courses in the domain of Economics which include Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Managerial Economics and Business & Economic Environment. He has published many research papers and articles in reputed national and international journals. His areas of research interest are Third Sector, Applied Econometrics, Sustainable Development, Public Finance, Development Environment and Macro Economy.  He has also presented research papers in International Conferences.

Mr.Jayakrishnan.S is an Agriculture graduate from Kerala Agricultural University and has a Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB). His industry experience is around two years in insurance sector as Sales Manager (Rural) with ICICI Prudential in Bancassurance and Agency channel. He worked with Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT) in National Agriculture Innovation project as Senior Research Fellow for nearly one year. His academic experience is of four years as Assistant Professor – Marketing area with Bhavans Royal Institute of Management, Cochin and SCMS School of Technology and Management, Cochin India. His interest areas include Retail Management, Rural Marketing and Neuromarketing. 
 
He also has done his Postgraduate certificate programme in Advertising and Public Relations from Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA) and Faculty Development Programme (FDP) from Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode. Abhijith Seetharam is an Industrial Engineer with a post-graduate degree in Business Management. He also has to his credit Certificates of Excellence in project analysis and financial modeling. He has worked in a various roles ranging from being an Engineer at an “old economy” tyre manufacturing company to working as Project Finance Consultant at an infrastructure development firm to flourishing as a successful Operations Strategist at a large software services company. He is experienced in the areas of project financing, transportation economics, PPP structuring, top-down budget control, and design of strategy-to-operations execution, among others. Dr. Srilakshminarayana has a Master’s Degree in Statistics from University of Mysore. He had secured Gold medal in Master Program and has fellowship recognition from University of Mysore and University Grants Commission (UGC) during his Doctoral Program. His research interests include Extreme Value Theory, Research Methodology, Data Analysis using R. He has attended Faculty development programmes at Indian Statistical Institutes and IIMs. He had conducted several training programmes to the teaching fraternity in application of statistical methods in research. He had published papers in reputed journals and presented papers in national and International conferences. He is associated with SDMIMD since 2011.

Dr. Mohamed Minhaj has around 15 years of Teaching and Consulting Experience. His area of specialization is Information Management, Web Services and Business Analytics.

At SDMIMD, besides teaching courses related to Information Technology and Analytics, as Chairman of Campus Systems, he is involved in the management of IT infrastructure and services.
 
He has completed many consulting assignments related to Information Management, Digital Libraries, e-Learning and Web Services. He has handled corporate training programs related to IR, Data Analysis and Business Modeling with Excel and Essentials of Business Analytics.
 
Prior to joining SDM, he has served organizations like APTECH Limited, ECIT, St. Philomena’s College and University of Mysore. He was also associated with Vidyanidhi Digital Library Project which was sponsored by Ford  foundation and Microsoft. He was also the Lead Software Consultant for India - Educational Digital Library Project, undertaken by Educational Development Center which is an international non-profit organization head-quartered in US.
 
His research interests include Semantic Technologies and Text Analytics.
 
He has completed many courses related to Analytics, including FDP from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and is a visiting faculty at the Business Analytics Institute, France.
 
He is an active member of Computer Society of India (CSI) and is currently the Chairman of Mysore Chapter. He is also a Member of IT Panel, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Mysuru and member of Analytics Society of India.

Dr. Neetu Ganapathy is an Associate Professor in Business Communication and Information Systems at the SDM Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD). Her areas of interest include Interpersonal Communication, Cross-Cultural Communication, Business Presentations, Enterprise Resource Planning Implementation by SMEs and Happiness. She writes a blog on Communication at iwishicouldspeaklikethat.wordpress.com.
 
Dr. Ganapathy has over 25 years of experience in teaching and training. She began her career with Aptech Computer Education, Mysore, as an IT and Soft Skills trainer. Soon after, she did a brief stint with Softgate Technologies, San Jose, California, USA as a consultant on IT projects. After joining SDMIMD in 2004, she has worked in various capacities including as Chairperson-PGDM and Chairperson-Summer Placements. She was an adjunct faculty at the Shanghai University where she taught a course on Cross Cultural Communication to the students of the Executive MBA program.  In 2017, she was selected by the Shanghai University for the award of ‘Outstanding Teacher’ in recognition for excellence in teaching practices, teaching effectiveness and the ability to inspire students.
 
Dr. Ganapathy holds a master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Mysore and an MDBA from Symbiosis Institute for Management Studies, Pune. She has a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Kuvempu University in Karnataka for her work on the challenges of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Implementation at Small and Medium Enterprises. Her research papers and case studies have been published in national and international journals.
