Since 2009, Dr. Mohamed Minhaj has been associated with the SDM Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysuru, where he serves as Professor of Information Systems and Head of Campus Systems. He currently holds the position of Dean – Academics.
 
Prior to joining SDMIMD, Dr. Minhaj worked with organizations such as APTECH Limited, ECIT, St. Philomena’s College, and the University of Mysore. He was part of the Vidyanidhi Digital Library Project, sponsored by the Ford Foundation and Microsoft, and served as the Lead Software Consultant for the Educational Digital Library Project undertaken by the Educational Development Center (EDC), a U.S.-based international non-profit organization.
 
Dr. Minhaj brings extensive experience in teaching courses related to Information Systems and Business Analytics, including Information Technology for Management, E-Business, Business Intelligence, IT Security, Audit and Governance, Managing Cloud Services, Machine Learning in Practice, AI for Enhanced Productivity, and Python for Business Analytics and AI.
 
He has also conducted numerous corporate training programs on topics such as Data Analysis and Business Modeling with Spreadsheets, and Business Intelligence using Power BI.
 
As Head of Campus Systems, Dr. Minhaj oversees the planning, implementation, and management of the institute’s IT infrastructure and services. He has played a pivotal role in driving various digitization initiatives at SDMIMD.
 
For several years, he has coordinated the Socially Relevant Projects (SRP) undertaken by PGDM students, involving collaborations with NGOs and government departments. He has also presented SDMIMD’s SRP framework and experiences at an international conference in Nepal.
 
His contributions to SDMIMD include developing new courses in Systems and Business Analytics and establishing critical IT infrastructure to support these academic initiatives.
 
Dr. Minhaj has completed several professional development programs in Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, including Faculty Development Programs at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. 
 
He is an Associate of the Business Analytics Institute (BAI), France (baieurope.com/associates), where he has facilitated University Courses and Summer School Programs on Analytics.
 
In his professional capacity as an authorized domain registrar and web solutions consultant, Dr. Minhaj has assisted several organizations in establishing and managing their online presence.
 
He is an active member of the Computer Society of India (CSI) and has previously served as Chairman of the CSI Mysore Chapter. He is also a Member of the IT Panel, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mysuru, and a Member of the Analytics Society of India.
