Dr. Sunil M.V. is Head-Academic Administration of SDM Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD) and Assistant Professor in the General Management Area. His special areas of interest & teaching are Information Systems and Technology Adoption.  He also teaches subjects in Information Management, Research Methodology, and Social Relevance. 
 
Dr. Sunil has Ph.D. is in the area of Open-Source Software adoption in Library Automation. He is a Master in Library and Information Science and a Master in Sociology. A Certified Fellow by American Association and IIM Bangalore. 
 
Dr. Sunil has more than 20 years of experience in information services and technology adoption. He has been associated with SDMIMD from 1999 in various capacities and positions. He was the coordinator for more than a decade for SDM RCMS, the Research Center, SDMIMD, administering Ph.D. program and publication. 
 
He has published papers in various journals & conferences and published two books. He has contributed course materials for distance education, including GoI’s ePG Pathshala.  
 
Dr. Sunil is a consultant for technology adoption in library and information services for academic institutions, universities, and organizations.

Dr. Balaji Gopalan has a total of 16 years of experience working in academics, research and consulting that includes working at institutes and companies in Finland, USA and India. He has completed his Doctorate in Science with a specialization in Industrial Management from the University of Vaasa, Finland. He has completed his M.Sc. in Information Studies from Florida State University, USA. He has an M.E. in Manufacturing Systems from BITS-Pilani, Rajasthan. He completed his B.E. in Industrial Production from SJCE, Mysore. 
 
He has been teaching Production and Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, Entrepreneurship, Data Analysis and a few other subjects at various management institutes. 
 
He has also worked as a full-time consultant for multinational companies in India, Finland and the USA.
 
He has presented papers at some of the prestigious conferences such as The American Marketing Association (AMA) affiliated International Service Research Conference (2012) in Helsinki (Finland), The Strategic Management Society (SMS) Conference (2013) in Glasgow, UK and many of the conferences of the Indian Subcontinent Decision Sciences Institute (ISDSI) in 2015, 2016 and 2021 in India. 
 
He is the author of a Book titled “Value Co-creation - Internet for Development and Telecommunications” published by the LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing, Germany (2017). He has also participated in various student organizations during his college days as a member of the organizing committee for cultural events. He was the President of the Indian Students Association at Florida State University, USA (2005) and was a Graduate Student Leadership Award candidate at FSU, USA (2005). He is an active guitar player.

He has done his Masters in Industrial Engineering from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. He has completed PhD in Industrial Engineering from National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai in the area of Lean manufacturing. He has successfully completed Postgraduate certificate in Project Management from Indira Gandhi Open University. He has attended various workshops on Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, Additive and Smart Manufacturing organized by NIT, Trichy, Operations research conducted by Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, Statistical analysis by Vellore Business School and Information Storage and Management conducted by EMC Data Storage Systems, Bangalore.

He is a fellow of Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode in the area of Information Technology and Systems Management. His thesis is about development and implementation of a new and better method for multi-criteria decision making. Prior to this, he holds a Master’s degree in computer application from Rajiv Gandhi Technological University Bhopal and Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) from Devi Ahilya University Indore. Before joining doctoral program at IIM Kozhikode, he worked as academic associate at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and as a Lecturer at SGSITS Indore. During his doctoral program, he also worked for 16 months as Assistant Professor at T A Pai Management Institute Manipal (an AACSB accredited institution). He (with Krishnadas N. and Supriya N.) won WIPRO earthian award (college category) in the year 2011-12 by proposing the idea of green computer center. He was also selected for and attended prestigious Decision Science Institute’s doctoral consortium in the year 2013.

He holds Post Graduation degrees in Business Administration and Cooperative Management. He is a Gold Medallist in his PG Degree. With the M.Phil. degree in Management, he is also qualified in NET conducted by the UGC and earned his Ph.D from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. His PhD is in Emotional Intelligence and Quality of Work-life.   
 
He has 17 years of PG- Management teaching experience with B-Schools including ICFAI University. He has written over 25 research papers and published in peer reviewed journals including ABDC and SCOPUS listed journals. One of his recent papers on Emotional Intelligence was published by Emerald journal- European Journal of Training and Development. He has authored a book “Performance Measurement and Reward Systems” for ICFAI University. 
 
Besides, he presented papers in the conferences which includes Academy of HRD, USA, PAN-IIM World Management Conference. He has also attended Faculty Development Workshops in leading Management Institutes like IIM Calcutta, IIM Kozhikode, and IIM Trichy. As part of the Faculty Exchange Programme (FEP), he also teaches at British University in Dubai (BUiD), Dubai. 
 
As a resource person, handled sessions in MDPs, FDPs, Student Development Workshops and been a part of consulting assignments in HR areas. Till date, conducted training sessions to over 3000 Medical, IT professionals and government officials which emphasized Personality Development, Leadership, Motivation, Team Building, Emotional Intelligence and Six thinking hats. He is a professional member of NIPM, NHRD and HR/IR panel member of CII Mysuru and as a passionate quiz master conducts quiz for NIPM, and Divyodaya.

Rajendra Todalbagi has done his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Karnataka University, Dharwad and secured Gold Medal as University topper. Further, he has done his PG Diploma in Materials Management. He has also completed his Executive General Management Program (EGMP) from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He has twenty-nine years of industry experience with managerial & leadership roles and has served reputed organizations like Bharat Electronics, DCM-Toyota, Wipro Infotech and Sony India. He has played a key role in setting up and establishing Sony India Software Centre from ground up and led for growth as Division Head. He was also instrumental in setting and scaling up a US based start-up Digital Juice Animations Pvt Ltd, as President & COO. 

He has moved to academia and business consulting since last five years. He has also taught at Symbiosis Bangalore, Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies, Harihar & Pune, and St. Josephs’ Institute of Management, Bangalore as a visiting faculty before starting his career with SDMIMD.
 
He is an assessor for CII-Exim Bank Business Excellence Award , certified by CII-Institute of Quality and serves as a member of the panel for award assessment. The CII-Exim Bank Business Excellence Award is modelled on European Quality Award instituted by European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). He is also a member of  the Manufacturing & Technology Panel, CII Mysore. He is a Charter Member ,TiE - Mysore chapter.
