| Admissions Open for PGCM 2019-2020 - Approved by AICTE |

SDMIMD's newly launched 15-Month fully residential program - Post Graduate Certificate in Management (PGCM) - has received the recognition by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the program is to get underway in August 2019.
This new program has been designed to give aspirants a solid exposure in management concepts and will be run through a host of cases, projects and practical orientation. The students of this program will enjoy all the infrastructural and academic facilities availed by the Institute’s flagship program 2-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) students including single room hostel accommodation and use of library and database resources.
Selected students from the batch will have an opportunity to go abroad for a term as a part of the student exchange program that SDMIMD has with overseas schools.

A 2-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on 'Data Analysis Using R in Journal Publication' was organized on May 8 and 9, 2019, for the faculty and research community. The FDP focused on three major aspects - On selection of an appropriate statistical method for analysing the data; Second, on presenting the results in a journal publication; and lastly providing hands-on using R for analysing the data. 21 participants from across the state and neighbouring states participated in the program.

| MDP on Behavioural Finance |

A one-Day MDP on Behavioural Finance was organised for financial consultants and portfolio managers, involved in giving guidance to the investors and constructing a portfolio to the requirements on May 21, 2019, at SDMIMD.
The program covered various biases and traits which are developed in the minds of the investors and the possible culmination of those biases while investing. The participants were provided with various cases of investors background and analysis was done with their contributions and the decision was moderated by the faculty resource person Prof. Kannadas S, Faculty-Finance, SDMIMD.

SDMIMD organized a two-day MDP on “HR for Non-HR Professionals” on 30 and 31 May 2019. The basic objective of the program was to address day-to-day people Management issues, faced by professionals, working in various departments, at the role of line managers, departmental heads, responsible for the team and individual performance. The program discussed and deliberated the issues and challenges of communication, motivation, leadership and team building, irrespective of sectors and size of the companies. Especially, issues, such as self-awareness, conflict management, performance appraisal feedback, were discussed. Read More>

| MDP on Predictive Analytics for Business Decision Making |

A two-day MDP on “Predictive Analytics for Business Decision Making” was held on June 3 and 4, 2019. The hands-on program was designed to share the importance of predictive modelling in business, and, to discuss the predictive methods such as linear regression, logistic regression etc and their applications in decision making. The sessions were a blend of data analysis and debates on the application of methods.
Dr Srilakshminarayana G, Faculty - Quantitative Methods, SDMIMD was the resource person and Dr Sunil MV coordinated the program.
